President Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthen Ties with Saudi Arabia

President Asif Ali Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to deepening bilateral ties with Saudi Arabia, focusing on cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, defense, culture, education, and people-to-people exchanges.

Speaking at the Saudi National Day Reception in Islamabad on Monday, celebrating the 94th Anniversary of Saudi Arabia’s National Day, President Zardari extended warm congratulations to King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, and the people of Saudi Arabia. He highlighted the strong, historic ties between the two nations and their mutual support during challenging times.

The President praised Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s visionary leadership and the rapid progress Saudi Arabia has made under his bold initiatives, expressing confidence that the Kingdom is on a path to further growth and prosperity. He also thanked Saudi Arabia for its continued support to Pakistan and acknowledged the contribution of 2.7 million Pakistanis residing in the Kingdom to its social and economic development.

President Zardari expressed optimism that the strong brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia would continue to flourish in the coming years. He emphasized the importance of working together to advance both nations, promote unity in the Muslim Ummah, and foster peace and stability in the region.

The event was attended by federal ministers, diplomats, dignitaries, and senior civil and military officials.
