The Australians were to play three matches in mid-March – simultaneously as the Test visit to Pakistan – in Aotearoa, setting last year’s T20 World Cup finalists in opposition to one another once more. NZC and Cricket Australia have focused on rescheduling the visit through Australia, yet no such guarantee has been made for the games facilitated by New Zealand. NZC stays certain the rest of this summer’s cricket can be played, regardless of the approaching danger of expanding Omicron cases.
