Usman Dar Alleges PTI Chief Orchestrated May 9 Events to Coerce Army Chief’s Resignation

In a recent revelation, Usman Dar, a prominent political figure, has alleged that the chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, orchestrated the events of May 9 with the intention of coercing the resignation of the Army Chief.

This claim has sent shockwaves through the political landscape of Pakistan, sparking a heated debate and demanding immediate attention from all quarters.

In a candid interview, Dar alleged that the former prime minister used innocent civilians as a shield to evade arrest and even issued directives to attack critical installations.

Dar revealed that explicit instructions were given: if the PTI chief was arrested, sensitive installations were to be targeted to mount pressure on the military. Shockingly, Dar claimed that these directives came directly from the PTI chairman.

Having served as a special adviser to the former prime minister on youth affairs, Dar accused the PTI chief of masterminding the May 9 events, asserting that the planning took place at Zaman Park. The objective behind these orchestrated attacks, as per Dar, was to coerce the military into securing the resignation of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir.

Furthermore, Dar accused the PTI chief of promoting an anti-Pakistan narrative and brainwashing party workers to avoid his own arrest. He disclosed that the PTI’s long march in the previous year aimed to prevent the appointment of Asim Munir as the army chief.

Dar held the PTI chairman accountable for the current state of the party, citing the departure of many loyalists due to what he viewed as an anti-Pakistan stance. The mass resignations following the violent attacks on sensitive installations had deeply impacted the PTI.

According to Dar, PTI leaders Hammad Azhar, Murad Saeed, Azam Swati, and Farrukh Habeeb were all aligned with the PTI chairman’s anti-military policy. He emphasized that the PTI chief’s leadership led to the party’s decline after the May 9 resistance.

Dar distanced himself from the PTI’s anti-military group and expressed readiness to appear before the courts if needed. He conveyed his displeasure with the PTI chairman, stating that the party was brought to the brink of destruction by these actions.

In a remarkable revelation, Dar stressed that he had not burdened the state exchequer with any expenses, covering his official foreign visits out of his pocket and refraining from misusing taxpayers’ money.

Strongly condemning the May 9 violence, Dar stated that the scars left by this incident would take considerable time to heal. Being from Sialkot, a city of martyrs and heroes, he affirmed his unwavering loyalty and respect for his country’s security forces.

In a surprising turn of events, towards the end of the interview, Usman Dar made a significant announcement, tendering his resignation from the PTI and declaring his withdrawal from national politics for good.
