Saudi Delegation Arrives to Strengthen Trade Cooperation

A high-level delegation from Saudi Arabia, led by Investment Minister Sheikh Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz Al Faleh, arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday for a three-day official visit. The delegation was welcomed at the airport by Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Board of Investment, Privatization & Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, along with Minister for Trade Jam Kamal Khan and Minister for Petroleum Mohammad Musadik Malik, as well as other senior officials.

Saudi Delegation Arrives to Strengthen Trade Cooperation

During the visit, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are set to sign multiple trade and investment agreements, as well as several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). The Saudi delegation will also visit the Special Investment and Facilitation Council (SIFC) to discuss investment plans across various sectors.

Minister Khan expressed that the arrival of the Saudi officials and representatives from private companies is a significant step toward enhancing investment in Pakistan, further strengthening the longstanding ties between the two countries. He noted that Pakistani private companies are eager to engage in investment and business collaborations with Saudi Arabia, with preparations for the visit already in place.

The Saudi investment minister is also scheduled to meet with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in addition to holding key meetings with the business community in Islamabad. The federal ministers emphasized the importance of this visit and expressed optimism for fruitful outcomes.
