Bilawal advises Nawaz to focus on Lahore as PML-N Supremo Arrives in Quetta

In a strategic move ahead of the upcoming general elections on Feb 8, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has advised PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif to concentrate efforts on addressing issues in Lahore. Bilawal’s suggestion comes as Nawaz Sharif arrives in Quetta to forge alliances across provinces.

The PML-N has been actively engaging Sindh-based political parties, possibly aiming to build an alliance against the PPP in the province.

A recent meeting saw the PML-N agreeing to the MQM-P’s demand for a constitutional reform package, emphasizing legal cover for local government and equitable fund distribution through a provincial finance commission.

In response, the PPP has directed its criticism toward the MQM-P, cautioning the PML-N against expecting loyalty from those who have betrayed their founder.

During a press conference in Mithi, Bilawal emphasized the right of every party to engage in politics across provinces but suggested that Nawaz Sharif should address challenges in Lahore for better electoral outcomes.

Bilawal underscored the importance of parties conducting politics through their own weight, urging the PML-N to maintain confidence in their party and politics without relying on external institutions.

Closing his media talk, Bilawal expressed pride in contesting the upcoming elections based on his performance as the foreign minister and challenged other PML-N leaders to do the same.

Meanwhile, Nawaz Sharif, alongside PML-N leaders Shehbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz, has embarked on a two-day visit to Balochistan to form alliances ahead of the elections.

PML-N’s Sardar Ayaz Sadiq claimed that Nawaz would hold political meetings in Quetta, where several influential figures were expected to announce their support for the party.

A statement from PML-N on social media indicated that numerous prominent political personalities, including former Balochistan chief minister Jam Kamal, had joined the party.

Nawaz Sharif emphasized the party’s commitment to the development of Balochistan, expressing regret that the momentum initiated during his government’s tenure had stalled.

The political leadership in Balochistan appreciated Nawaz Sharif’s dedication to the province’s development. Nawaz, recalling Quetta’s past as a clean, beautiful, and peaceful city, lamented the discontinuation of its developmental momentum.

The PML-N shared images of Nawaz wearing a turban, symbolizing respect for local traditions.

As Nawaz and Shehbaz met political leaders in the province, discussions focused on the party’s commitment to inclusivity and development. The PML-N continues its efforts to build strategic alliances across provinces, setting the stage for a competitive political landscape in the upcoming elections.
