Elon Musk’s promised Starlink terminals have reached Ukraine

SpaceX sent a truck brimming with Starlink terminals to Ukraine, as indicated by recent tweets from a Ukrainian official.

The Digital Transformation minister of Ukraine stated equipment to utilize SpaceX Starlink satellite network access has been arrived in the country as guaranteed by Elon Musk, as reported.

Mykhailo Fedorov expressed gratitude toward the founder of SpaceX, Elon Musk for the received equipment in a Twitter post this Monday with a photograph of boxes on the rear of a truck.

Over the course of the end of the week, Mykhailo Fedorov tweeted at Musk, requesting that he give Ukraine Starlink stations. The tech giant owner stated earlier on the weekend that Starlink is now “active” in Ukraine and further equipment to utilize it is soon reaching its destination.

Now, it appears to be that the promise has been fulfilled by the tech billionaire, Musk answered using his Twitter handle saying: “You are most welcome.”

Starlink is a satellite-based internet that SpaceX has been developing for quite a long time to bring web services to the underserved region of the world. It markets itself as “ideally suited” for regions where network access is problematic or inaccessible.

In order to use the Starlink system, the users should have a device known as the user terminal.  The user terminal is a white-coloured flat dish that SpaceX sells straightforwardly to users. Having a direct and clear view of the sky.

The user terminals are able to send and receive signals from any operational Starlink satellites that are in closest proximity.

A significant part of the framework that powers satellite web exists in space, however, there is still a lot of operating devices on the earth. To give web access, satellites should have the option to connect with gateways, fixed ground stations on Earth that are associated with existing fibre-optic links.

There’s as yet a chance of technical problems or cyberattacks on satellite web including Starlink. For instance, one more satellite ISP says it’s encountering interruptions in Ukraine, because of a “cyber event,” as per the sources report.
