By In a tragic turn of events, an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Pakistan’s Tirah region, located in the Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has claimed the lives of a Pakistan army officer and three soldiers.
The operation, carried out by the security forces, aimed to eliminate the reported presence of terrorists. The soldiers, led by Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hassan Haider, engaged the terrorists effectively during the mission. Three terrorists were neutralized, and three others sustained injuries.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant Colonel Haider, Naik Khushdil Khan, Naik Rafique Khan, and Lance Naik Abdul Qadir lost their lives during the exchange of fire. ISPR has stated that a sanitization operation is underway to ensure the elimination of any remaining terrorists in the area.

The military confirmed the conclusion of the combing and clearance operation, ensuring that all nine terrorists had been neutralized.
The operation was initiated to eliminate any potential threat in the surrounding area after the failed terrorist attack on the base. Fortunately, no damage was caused to any of the Pakistan Air Force’s operational assets.
However, it was reported that three non-operational aircraft, which had already been phased out, suffered some damage during the terrorist attack.
