In a tragic turn of events, an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Pakistan’s Tirah region, located in the Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has claimed the lives of a Pakistan army officer and three soldiers.

The operation, carried out by the security forces, aimed to eliminate the reported presence of terrorists. The soldiers, led by Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hassan Haider, engaged the terrorists effectively during the mission. Three terrorists were neutralized, and three others sustained injuries.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant Colonel Haider, Naik Khushdil Khan, Naik Rafique Khan, and Lance Naik Abdul Qadir lost their lives during the exchange of fire. ISPR has stated that a sanitization operation is underway to ensure the elimination of any remaining terrorists in the area.

The loss of these brave soldiers has deeply saddened the nation, and Pakistan’s Interim Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar expressed his condolences, emphasizing the pride the nation feels for those who sacrificed their lives in service to their country.

He reaffirmed the commitment to continue the fight against terrorism until it is eradicated entirely from the nation.

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also extended his condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers. This tragedy follows closely on the heels of another incident in which security forces thwarted a terrorist attack at the Mianwali Training Air Base of the Pakistan Air Force, situated in the Punjab province.

The Pakistan Army successfully foiled the terror attack in the early hours of Saturday. A clearance operation was launched, resulting in the elimination of nine terrorists. The military confirmed the conclusion of the combing and clearance operation, ensuring that all nine terrorists had been neutralized.

The operation was initiated to eliminate any potential threat in the surrounding area after the failed terrorist attack on the base. Fortunately, no damage was caused to any of the Pakistan Air Force’s operational assets.

However, it was reported that three non-operational aircraft, which had already been phased out, suffered some damage during the terrorist attack.

These recent incidents underscore Pakistan’s unwavering determination to combat terrorism. The sacrifices made by its armed forces and security personnel in these operations reflect their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the nation.

The loss of the Pakistan army officer and soldiers is a somber reminder of the challenges that Pakistan faces in its ongoing battle against terrorism.

As the nation mourns the loss of these heroes, Pakistan remains resolute in its pursuit of a future where its citizens can live in peace and prosperity.

The sacrifices of these brave soldiers will never be forgotten, and the nation stands united in its determination to overcome the menace of terrorism that threatens its peace and stability.
