Google Marks 25th Anniversary with Unique ‘G25gle’ Doodle Celebration

Google, the tech giant that’s deeply woven into our digital lives, is celebrating a significant milestone today – it’s been 25 years since it started changing the way we find and use information online.

To mark this journey of innovation and global impact, Google has unveiled a special animated doodle called ‘G25gle,’ a playful twist on its iconic logo.

This animated doodle transforms the famous ‘Google’ into ‘G25gle’ with a colourful animation that turns the ‘o’ into the number ’25.’

In the words of Google, “A lot has changed since 1998, including our logo, but our mission has stayed the same: to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.”

The company’s journey began when two students met and shared a vision to make the World Wide Web more accessible. They worked tirelessly from their dorm rooms and eventually created a prototype for a better search engine. As they made progress, they moved into Google’s first office, a rented garage. On September 27, 1998, Google Inc. was officially born.

Google thanked its users for evolving with them over the past 25 years and expressed excitement about the future. Sundar Pichai, Google’s current CEO, also marked the company’s birthday with a heartfelt note last month, thanking everyone who has contributed to Google’s success and innovation.

The ‘G25gle’ Doodle serves as a reminder of how far the company has come since its inception. Google has grown beyond search, offering a wide range of products and services, including Gmail, Google Maps, Android, and Google Arts & Culture, continually pushing the boundaries of innovation.

This animated doodle isn’t just for fun; it’s a symbol of gratitude to Google’s millions of users, employees, and partners who have been a part of this incredible journey.
