By Prominent religious scholar Dr. Zakir Naik, currently on a nearly month-long visit to Pakistan, expressed his admiration for the local people’s warmth and hospitality, stating, “The people of Pakistan are very loving and caring.”
During a meeting with National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq at the Parliament House in Islamabad on Tuesday, Dr. Naik emphasized the importance of Muslim countries uniting to address the challenges faced by the Muslim Ummah, drawing inspiration from the teachings of the Holy Quran and Sunnah. He reiterated that Islam is a religion of peace, love, and brotherhood, aiming to convey its true message worldwide.
Speaker Sadiq echoed this sentiment, highlighting the need for unity among Muslims to promote Islam’s genuine teachings globally. He welcomed Dr. Naik’s visit and discussed pressing issues related to interfaith harmony and the challenges confronting the Muslim Ummah. He noted that the Constitution of Pakistan guarantees equal rights for all citizens and fully protects minority rights, emphasizing that unity and solidarity are essential for overcoming these challenges.
Later, Dr. Naik visited Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence in Islamabad, reiterating his mission to spread Islam’s message of peace and love. He urged the Muslim Ummah to set aside differences and unite based on the Quran and Sunnah. Maulana Fazlur Rehman commended Dr. Naik’s efforts in promoting the teachings of Islam.
