Zakir Naik Arrives in Pakistan for a Month-Long Visit

Prominent religious preacher Dr. Zakir Naik arrived in Pakistan on Monday for a month-long visit, during which he will deliver lectures in major cities including Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore. This marks his first visit to the country in 30 years, with his last being in 1992 when he met religious scholar Dr. Israr Ahmed in Lahore before returning to India.

Originally from India, Dr. Naik now resides in Malaysia due to legal issues in his home country, where he faces multiple cases and extradition requests.

Upon his arrival at Islamabad International Airport, he was received by officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and PM’s aide, Rana Mashhood.

Dr. Naik’s lecture series will begin in Karachi on October 5, followed by appearances in Lahore on October 12 and Islamabad on October 19. Along with his public gatherings, he is expected to meet senior government officials and participate in various public engagements throughout his visit, which is set to conclude on October 28.

Sources from the Ministry of Religious Affairs confirmed that Dr. Naik was visiting Pakistan at the invitation of the government and will be provided with top-level security during his stay.
