The crescent moon for Rabi-ul-Awwal 1446 Hijri has not been sighted, according to the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee. This announcement was made by Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, the committee chairman, during a press conference held in Islamabad this evening. As a result, the first day of Rabi-ul-Awwal will fall on Friday.
Maulana Azad further confirmed that the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, which marks the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW), will be observed on the 17th of this month. Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebrates the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (SAWW), a significant event for Muslims globally. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee’s announcement provides essential guidance for the planning and observance of this important date in the Islamic calendar, ensuring that communities can prepare and celebrate accordingly.
