Pakistan Aims to Enhance Ties with China in AI, Technology, and Agriculture

On Monday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif outlined Pakistan’s plans to expand collaboration with China in critical sectors such as information technology, artificial intelligence, and modern agriculture. This announcement was made during a meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong.

Sharif underscored the long-standing and resilient friendship between Pakistan and China, highlighting China’s consistent support during Pakistan’s challenging times. He commended the Chinese leadership’s vision for fortifying the strategic partnership between the two nations and upgrading the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a key element of their economic cooperation.

“The friendship between Pakistan and China has withstood the test of time,” Sharif stated. “China has provided unwavering support to Pakistan in every difficult period.” He emphasized that this relationship is vital not only for the bilateral ties between the two countries but also for fostering regional and global peace and development.

The meeting, held in Islamabad, was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi, and other senior Pakistani officials. They discussed strategies to enhance cooperation and further develop the mutual interests outlined in the recent discussions.

Sharif’s remarks reflect a strong commitment to deepening the strategic partnership with China, aiming to leverage advancements in technology and modern practices to boost Pakistan’s economic growth and development.
